A Little Pooh History For You

Winnie the Pooh was the stuffed bear of Alan Alexander Milne's son Christopher Milne. On October 14th 1926, Pooh's first book was published. Three books were later released: the first book, "Winnie the Pooh", "House at Pooh Corner", "When we were very young" and "Now we Are six".

Pooh was first brought to life by disney animators in 1966 in the theatrical featurette "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree". It was immediatly embraced by audiences and two more short films were issued; "Winnie the Pooh and the blustery Day" (1968) and "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too" (1974). All three were combined in 1977 in one full-lenght movie intitled "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". Pooh also got his starring role in a television series in 1988 intitled "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"
